Heath Ledger

I just thought that y'all might want to see the trailer for the movie that
Heath Ledger was making before he died. I think that it
looks pretty cool and it comes out on Christmas:)

The Chairs are coming....

I have to find the pictures..... wish me luck!!!!

The Table

Okay as most of you all know all summer I have been working on my table!! Well it is done!!! I thought that some of you would like to see so of the pictures that I took as we fixed it all up with help from my grandpa!! :) Thank you Grandpa!!!

This is as we sanded the table down... after just sanding it I can't even tell you the worlds of difference that we saw in it!! It took us a long time to sand off the top of the table! But after hours and days/nights of work we got it done....

More of the table... this is what it looked like every night when we left...

Ken cleaning up after we put all of the table stuff away...

Staining the table..... Not as easy as I thought it would be... then again the table was not as easy as I thought it would be, But I had fun and I love it..
Top and Side after the first stain...

The top of the table turned out to be two different colors of black. I think that it looks really cool! Yes it is black... I know the pictures make it look really brown sorry... I guess if you want to see the real color you will have to come to my house.

More staining of the table...

This is Ken putting it all together when we were all done staining and putting on the polyurethane.

And this is it all done!!! :)
Happy day....

The UpDate

So I really have not been up to much, and I am sorry for not writing as much as I should.... But I will up date all of you that care to know.... Ken is back in school.... So you all can guess how much I get to see him! If he is home he is doing home work. Its not so much fun for me but I know in the end it will all be worth it! We do get to go to all the BYU foot ball games!

I didn't ever think that I would know so much about football in my life! But it has grown on me! From years of my dad watching every game to marring a guy that wants to not only watch it but go to the games. This year Aaron & Jen got tickets with us so they get to go to all the games and that has been so much fun to be able to go with them.

I have also started to work out!! I have started to do Zumba... I really like it! it reminds me of the good old days of salsa dancing. I really have loved going and I have got Karli to go with me to! (and if any one else wants to go with me you are more than welcome to come!)

Well I think that is every thing... oh I did finish my table of all of you that care (pics. will be coming soon) and I do have some Disney Land pics that I will be putting up soon too. (I just have to find time that Ken is not on the computer!)

Colorado.... Ken's Home sweet Home!!!

As most of you know Ken and I went to Colorado one week end in June... It was fun to see where he has lived for most of his life and have him show me around to all the places that he lived and worked! We also got to see some of his friends and we got to see his Grandma....

So the pictures.......

This is what it looked like on the way up to Colorado...

This is the home that Ken lived in before his mission! and the house that his dad is living in right now when he is working.

Another one of the house....

So one of my favorite movies is the Unsinkable Molly Brown. I have always wanted to go to her house and be on Pennsylvania Ave.! Well Ken took me there!! It was the coolest thing in the world to see her house!! I would tell any one that goes to Colorado to go there!!!
I couldn't take any pictures of the inside of the house so here is the outside!

The house is called the Lion House and when you get there you can see why!! their are Lions all over the outside of the house!!

No need to say anything with this one.... ( I think that Ken liked this one the Best!!)

This is the outside of the house! Not just the outside of the house is red... But the inside of the house is red too!! (I think you can all see why I like her so much!!!)

This is Ken and I.... as you can all see!! :)

As a side note for all of you.. Molly Browns home is the only original home left on
Pennsylvania ave.!

And this was one of my last stops in Colorado. Ken and I went to his Grandmas house to see her! and I Just want to show you a picture of that!! I never knew that you could find some one that collected everything... Well Kens Grandma dose and I think that is amazing!! You name it she collects it! She has it all!!
Ken's Grandma's house...

Well that is all for my trip to Colorado!!!

Quote of the Day

"Sometimes I wondered if I was seeing the same things through my eyes that the rest of the world was seeing though theirs. Maybe there was a glitch in my brain"

Hair Removal!

Hair removal methods have tricked women with their promises of easy, painless removal -- the Epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now...the wax.
Read on.........
My night began as any other normal weeknight. Come home, fix dinner, play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for the next few hours: "Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine cabinet." So I headed to the site of my demise: the bathroom. It was one of those "cold wax" kits.
No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand, they get warm and you peel them apart and press them to your leg (or wherever else) and you pull the hair right off. No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean, I'm not a genius, but I am mechanically inclined enough to figure this out. (YA THINK!?!)
So I pull one of the thin strips out. Its two strips facing each other stuck together. Instead of rubbing them together, my genius kicks in so I get out the hair dryer and heat it to 1000 degrees. ("Cold wax," yeah...right!) I lay the strip across my thigh. Hold the skin around it tight and pull. It works!
OK, so it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do this! Hair removal no longer eludes me! I am She-rah, fighter of all wayward body hair and maker of smooth skin extraordinaire. With my next wax strip I move north. After checking on the kids, I sneak back into the bathroom, for the ultimate hair fighting championship. I drop my panties and place one foot on the toilet. Using the same procedure, I apply the wax strip across the right side of my bikini line, covering the right half of my hoo-ha and stretching down to the inside of my butt cheek (it was a long strip) I inhale deeply and brace myself...RRRRRRIIIIPPP!!!!
I'm blind!!! Blinded from pain!!!!...
Vision returning, I notice that I've only managed to pull off half the strip. CRAP! Another deep breath and RIPP! Everything is spinning and spotted. I think I may pass out...must stay conscious ... must stay conscious. Do I hear crashing drums???
Breathe, breathe.................. OK, back to normal. I want to see my trophy - a wax covered strip, the one that has caused me so much pain, with my hairy pelt sticking to it. I want to revel in the glory that is my triumph over body hair. I hold up the strip! There's no hair on it.
Where is the hair???
WHERE IS THE WAX???
Slowly I ease my head down, foot still perched on the toilet. I see the hair. The hair that should be on the strip...it's not! I touch. I am touching wax. I run my fingers over the most sensitive part of my body, which is now covered in cold wax and matted hair. Then I make the next BIG mistake...remember my foot is still propped upon the toilet? I know I need to do something. So I put my foot down.
Sealed shut!
My butt is sealed shut.
Sealed shut!
I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do and think to myself "Please don't let me get the urge to poop. My head may pop off!" What can I do to melt the wax?
Hot water!! Hot water melts wax!! I'll run the hottest water I can stand into the bathtub, get in, immerse the wax-covered bits and the wax should melt and I can gently wipe it off, right??? *WRONG!!!!!!!*
I get in the tub - The water is slightly hotter than that used to torture prisoners of war or sterilize surgical equipment - I sit. Now, the only thing worse than having your nether regions glued together, is having them glued together and then glued to the bottom of the tub...in scalding hot water. Which, by the way, doesn't melt cold wax.
So, now I'm stuck to the bottom of the tub as though I had cemented myself to the porcelain!! God bless the man who had convinced me a few months ago to have a phone put in the bathroom!!!!! I call my friend, thinking surely she has waxed before and has some secret of how to get me undone. It's a very good conversation starter "So, my butt and hoo-ha are glued together to the bottom of the tub!"
There is a slight pause. She doesn't know any secret tricks for removal but she does try to hide her laughter from me. She wants to know exactly where the wax is located, "Are we talking cheeks or hole or hoo-ha?" She's laughing out loud by now...I can hear her. I give her the rundown and she suggests I call the number on the side of the box.
YEAH!!!!! Right!!
I should be the joke of someone else's night. While we go through various solutions I resort to trying to scrape the wax off with a razor. Nothing feels better than to have your girlie goodies covered in hot wax, glued shut, stuck to the tub in super hot water and then dry-shaving the sticky wax off!! By now the brain is not working, dignity has taken a major hike and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need Post-Traumatic Stress counseling for this event. My friend is still talking with me when I finally see my saving grace....the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax. What do I really have to lose at this point? I rub some on and OH MY GOD!!!!!!! The scream probably woke the kids and scared the dickens out of my friend. It's sooo painful, but I really don't care.
"IT WORKS!! It works !!"
I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up. I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and then notice to my grief and despair.... THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......ALL OF IT!
So I recklessly shave it off. Heck, I'm numb by now. Nothing hurts. I could have amputated my own leg at this point. Next week I'm going to try hair color......
